ABOUT MORGAN I am Morgan aka the Cocoa Butter Curator, the Muva of Moisture. I am the fingers behind the gloves. I am the mixer, mind & money behind Brwnsknd Collective. When I created this brand, I was a full time grad student working in corrections full time. With this brand, I’ve grown into a mother, an educator, a formal writer, & a half-assed comedian. I cultivated my very first butter with US in mind and until the last jar is sold, I will remain true to the initial vision.

These photos were taken at City Park in New Orleans, Louisiana on a very humid day in August. This photoshoot was by far one of the most incredible projects to surface from the drawing board.
This experience made me view motherhood in a shining light that I’d recently decided against. I had no idea that it was possible to feel such an energy from someone who hadn’t yet seen the sun until my very own sun arrived.
When my own beam of light appeared, I knew that his energy would felt by all before he ever saw the sun. I was right. My sun ray arrived just after St. Nicholas fulfilled his route and made it back to the North Pole to cuddle with the Misses.
When he arrived, his energy was familiar. It was if he was already Earthside. He felt familiar but this time in physical form. He felt like a warmth in my heart, a tear in my eye, and a little hand that I wanted to hold forever.
To my SUN, this world is yours.

This was my very first shoot for Brwnsknd Collective. Everything about this shoot felt amazing. The music, the energy, the effortless radiance of our muse. Aqua and her partner had beautiful energy, and the belly was glamorous! The photog was able to capture all of the aspects from behind the lens that I saw with my naked eye and I was so very grateful to him for putting all of this together. This day set the tone for how I wanted my brand to be represented. So, thank you so much to everyone who ensured that this shoot would be legendary!
Brwnsknd CollectiveBrwnsknd Collective first launched on Juneteenth of 2020. It was my way of regulating my emotions in a strange climate. Brwnsknd was my therapy, my sense of freedom, and my burst of energy. I poured into Brwnsknd as a way to pour into myself. I worked my ass off for a job that couldn’t ensure my safety. I was unhappy leaving work everyday and decided that I needed to find restoration. Brwnsknd was my way of finding solace amidst my own personal pandemic.
